THE GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF MONGOLIA, A NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION

 

                  The Geological Society of Mongolia (GSM) is one of the first Mongolian professional associations or NGOs, it was established in 1996 to develop the geological science in Mongolia, intensify all types of geological research, improve the knowledge and skill of geologists, present and protect the common interests of these who are engaged in the geological sector.

            The GSM is continuously cooperating with industry’s other associations and government agencies, regularly organizes conferences, consultations, discussions and trainings on the professional issues and the legal environment, collects, summarizes and presents the views and opinions of its members, supports their activities.

The GSM convened its sixth assembly on November 29, 2019, approved the updated Charter of the Society and updated its governing body and structure.

Now, GSM has around 400 members and supporters, 20 member organizations and 4500 followers in social network.
